Over the year I have worked on two different projects. My first project was working with Goalie Gloves and my second project was coding a game. I finished my soccer game with a couple of glitches which I explained in my recent blog posts. This is a link to my soccer game, scratch.mit.edu/projects/146574298/. It is made for two players so find someone else to play with, and have fun! Also, here is a link to my TED Talk docs.google.com/a/bcacs.org/presentation/d/1Z-WW4L-hmNlQ3Ok8NWel68H5OuJWYU0fktDqlU82ocM/edit?usp=sharing . This was a very good experience, especially the goalie glove part. Now I will know which goalie gloves to purchase for next seasons.

This week after playing around with my game a little bit more, I realized that there is no way to fix these glitches. These glitches just come with how Scratch works and I just have to deal with it. scratch.mit.edu/projects/146574298/ This is a link to my game.
This week i asked a friend how to go about doing the goals. he gave me great advice and now i have an almost working game. There are some glitches if the players get to close, so I will have to figure that out next time but other than that i have a working soccer game.
This week during innovation day I finished up the costumes for both teams. So now both guys have jumping and running actions. I have to figure out how to make the goals change the score. Then after that I will figure out how to make the guys say "Gooooaaaallllll!!!!" when they score, just to add more fun to the game. I have tried a couple of different ways, so we will see if I can figure out a solution next time.
I figured out how to make the guys face different ways!! I made two different costumes facing two different ways. Going right will trigger the right facing costume and going left will trigger the left facing costume. I have to copy the codes and costumes for the other team and then I can work on other things. So next time I hopefully finish up the other team's guy and then find something else to do.
This week I decide to add some little animations since I am not putting in as much work on the background. I am adding little running animation forms when the guys move. I also have a jumping animation so that the guy makes his knees bend and his arms swing etc. This is just to make a better overall appeal for the game.
This week I decided that instead of having a changing background, that I will just use one back ground and have everything on that. I am still working on making the goals register and I will make more visual effects since I do not have to worry about the backgrounds anymore. This is what it looks life so far.
This week during innovation class I found a small solution to the problem of the ball not being able to go both ways. I added soccer cleats to each of the players and made them close colors but not the same color. So when the ball touches a certain color it will move away from that cleat. Now the ball goes in whatever direction that it is "kicked". I started working on the background and making it change when the players/ball get to a certain point. This is a little tricky because I have to use a color that isn't already in the background for it to work the way I want it to. I guess I could make my own back ground, so maybe I will try that. Then I have to figure out how to make the goals register a goal and then reset back to the middle. So much more to come, but so far its going pretty well.
This week during innovation day I decided that I am going to make a soccer game. It will have two stick men and they move using arrow keys and wasd keys. I have gotten them to be able to move, jump, and kick the ball. The one problem I have encountered is that if the stick figures get too close then neither one of them can kick the ball. So I will have to figure that bug out and then I have to make the background be able to change, and the goal be able to register. So that's my plan for next class.
This week during innovation day I was still playing around on Scratch. I made some progress! I ended up figuring out how to make a dog dance. It's not much, but I am starting to get the hang of this coding thing. I might start working on making a game, but I am not quite sure what kind of game to make yet. I have to take into account my coding skills before I can make anything.
